The
Eden Project is but 35 minutes away and really has
to be seen, ideal for all the family and very accessible
to wheelchairs as well. Great cafes for hunger stops!
The
National Maritime Museum in Falmouth is but a 20
minute ferry trip from St.Mawes or a 35 minute drive.
plenty of hands on fun and a fantastic tribute to our
maritime history. Great café and suitable for
everyone.
Goonhilly
Satellite Station is about 1 hour drive and a fascinating
insight into the world of communication and technology.Great
for all the family, lots of hands on.
Gardens
- The Gardens here in Cornwall are at their most
spectacular in the Spring when daffodils, camellias
and rhodedendrons are at their best.The National
Trust Gardens at Trelissick are just a quick hop
across the river from here about 20 mins). Heligan
about 25 mins and Glendurgan and Trebah about 45 minutes.
There are many, many more both small and large we can
offer help in deciding which are the most suited to
you.
Culture - The cliff hugging
outdoor Minack
Theatre is an unforgettable experience situated
near Lands End it takes an hour or so but is well worth
it. Their programme can be found at www.minack.com
and we advise booking in advance. There is a theatre
in Truro, which has a programme of events and plays
which can be pre-booked. About 20 mins away. The fabulous
Tate
Gallery in St.Ives.
